Fortuna is led by a team with deep experience across petroleum engineering, land management, operations, and capital deployment. Our leadership brings the technical knowledge and strategic discipline necessary to execute a focused non-op investment strategy.
Chief Executive Officer
Travis Pace serves as CEO of Fortuna Operating, which manages all non-op funds on behalf of Fortuna and North Hudson. Prior to Fortuna, Mr. Pace founded Corbin Development Group, LLC, a privately held non-op company where he built and led the successful exit of a non-op oil and gas portfolio in the Delaware Basin. Prior to that, Pace founded a financial and commercial advisory firm for large-scale natural gas infrastructure projects around the world. Pace holds an MBA and BA in English from Texas Tech University, and an MA in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

Chief Operating Officer
Taylor Russell serves as COO of Fortuna Operating, directing engineering, finance/accounting, and strategic functions across the firm’s active portfolio and platform companies. Prior to Fortuna, Mr. Russell managed asset development and operations at Citation Oil & Gas, Oxy, and Plantation Petroleum across multiple U.S. oil and gas basins. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Vice President, Engineering
Tyler Hansen currently serves as VP of Engineering for Fortuna Operating. Prior to Fortuna, Mr. Hansen was the lead engineer at CL&F Resources where he managed reserves and evaluations, growing the company’s onshore portfolio through non-operated acquisitions. Before his time at CL&F, Tyler served as reservoir engineer for Sheridan Production’s East Texas and Permian assets, developing conventional reservoirs and assisting in acquisition evaluations. Mr. Hansen has also held various engineering roles for Cantera Energy, EnerVest, and EP Energy, developing unconventional and conventional reservoirs in various basins. Tyler graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.

Vice President, Land & Business Development
Mr. Tenenholz joined Fortuna Operating in October of 2022 and currently serves as Vice President of Land & Business Development. Prior to joining Fortuna, Mr. Tenenholz served as Director of Land & Regulatory for Centennial Resources where he managed all mineral land, surface land, land administration and regulatory efforts for the organization. During his time at Centennial his team was responsible for high-grading and doubling the company’s footprint via acquisitions that saw the company step into the Northern Delaware Basin. He served as an Integration Lead during the merger of equals between Centennial and Colgate Energy that was completed in September of 2022 to form Permian Resources. Prior to Centennial, Mr. Tenenholz started his career at Encana Oil & Gas as a Land Negotiator. While Land Negotiator, he gained multi-state experience working various unconventional horizontal plays across the lower 48. Mr. Tenenholz earned his B.B.A. in Energy Management with a Minor in Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
